Who would you nominate for a seat on the spaceship 'Mayflower'?

At some point the human race will have to build a spaceship and set off for a distant habitable planet. Among those chosen to go will be actors, obviously and scientists and representatives of the medical profession,and a selection of ordinary people to build houses and roads. No lawyers or businessmen or the milirary.

Who would you nominate for a seat on the spaceship 'Mayflower'?
Actors? It seems an interesting take on your psyche that you would "obviously" include actors but exclude anyone who would keep order. No matter though, once the colony grew, you'd have military, lawyers, and businessmen anyway. (You're talking rather basic components of any society there.)





Of course, the historic Mayflower was a mix of individuals trying to escape religious persecution (the Puritans), and fare-paying passengers (among whom were some children being disowned by their step-father). Kind of a motley crew, actually...which is what I'm guessing your hypothetical future Mayflower would also consist of.

You sound like the usual socialist Utopian and we all know they are the real enemies of society, destroying rather than creating, while remaining amazingly smug abour their profound wisdom.
