But no one else can. Who designated us as god? Owner of the lands and nature? Who saved the poor indians from our slaughter of them? We take and then set laws up to protect us from the very thing we did. Or start wars because someone else has the same agenda.Or tries to run their lands the way they see fit. How come america doesnt have to play by the same rules? Because we have a bigger, stronger military? We say we are the home of the free and brave. I think this land is not free it was stolen. And the forefathers of this land were not brave they were lying murdereing terriorists.That is why I am not proud to be an american. People say if you dont like the way we live go to a deserted island or iraq and youll see how it is.My answer if there was an deserted island we already would have stolen it.

However, you must consider that over the years, we have all set up our economy system, and for the most part, it somewhat works for us, or at least it is what we are comfortable with. And aliens to our country who do not abide by our rules, tax laws, etc. can hurt our economy greatly.





Even God, in the Bible, recognizes the fact that there were aliens to the nations (people who migrated to one land from another) and they did not, necessarily, get the full rights of natives of the land.

The Mayflower passengers weren't illegal immigrants, because they were British citizens who traveled to Massachusetts, which was then a British colony. I agree with a lot of what you say, but I just thought I would clarify these things. Also, although I'm not proud of every aspect of my country's history and I hate the current president for what he is doing to the U.S. and the rest of the world, I'm still proud to be an American. We have a very flawed past and present, but our Constitution is what makes us great and our government has been a model for systems in other parts of the world. There is a reason why our Constitution is the longest enduring written constitution in history. It works.

You are right. The early Americans wiped out a nation of people with no shame. They thought it was their right. They were chosen by God or something to wipe out the heathens. Which is sad.





I am not so much proud to be an American. I'm proud to be me. And I'm from America, so since I was raised here America is part of who I am.





Our history is a bloody one, especially since we are such a young country. The thing is, that we don't have to repeat it. But we are. The reason we are is because whoever is in power decides what we are taught about history... think about it, if Germany had won the war they would have written how they conquered the evil Jews. And people would still think of Jewish folks as bad (at least over there). While they tell us about the killing of the idians, they don't tell us everything. So, we can't learn from past mistakes if we don't know all of them.





And you're right, we would have stolen a deserted island, thrown some hotels up on it, made a killing and then abandoned it when the tourists stopped coming. But in our defense.... so would every other country.
